Instant Control: Upgrade to the Version 1 3-Relay Board for Flawless Accessory Management
Stop cutting corners on your electrical systems. The foundation of any reliable build is clean management, and the Hot Rod Daycare Version 1 3-Relay Board delivers exactly that. Designed for protected environments (like your cabin or trunk), it simplifies the entire process, letting you spend less time troubleshooting wires and more time enjoying the drive.
Clean Power, Pro-Grade Control
Upgrade your build’s reliability with the Hot Rod Daycare Version 1 3-Relay Board. It acts as the command center for your high-current accessories, giving you rock solid, dedicated control over up to three critical 12V components (fans, fuel pumps, lights, etc.). Beyond the three main circuits, we’ve included an essential design feature: A separate, Constant Fused 12V Output (CH4). This allows you to easily tap a clean, protected power source for critical low draw accessories, eliminating the need for tapping into a separate fuse box. The boards primary benefit is its ability to drastically reduce wire clutter and consolidate power protection, transforming an often complex wiring job into a clean, simple, and professional execution.
Robust Power Handling and Protection
The Version 1 3-Relay Board is designed to handle serious current featuring 3 pre-installed heavy duty 40A relays, with each circuit in high demand, the entire board provides a robust 100 Amp total system capacity, ensuring you have the necessary safety margin for high-performance accessories. To ensure comprehensive protection for your system we include 4 high quality 30A ATO/ATC fuses with every purchase. This board provides centralized power protection, making your installation safe and simple.
Crucial Version 1 Warning
Important Mounting Notes:
This version 1 is designed as an open-board solution for In-Cabin or Protected Mounting. The provided PLA shipping enclosure is for transit protection only and MUST NOT be used for mounting the board, especially in high-heat environments. It must be shielded from direct water or road spray.
Mandatory Safety Requirement: The board must be installed a minimum of six (6) inches from any vehicle occupant. Failure to comply with the minimum clearance requirement will immediately nullify and void any implied or state warranty.
Advanced Trouble Shooting
Integrated Blown Fuse LED Indicators. Say goodbye to chasing wires with a multimeter. Each fuse position includes a dedicated LED Indicator Light that illuminates instantly when a fuse blows, allowing for immediate identification and replacement, minimizing your downtime.
Warranty Coverage and Components
Your Version 1 3-Relay Board (base, sealing, and wire) is covered by our limited 3-year warranty for peace of mind. PLEASE NOTE: Consumable components such as the included 40A relays and fuses are not covered under the warranty. You may find the complete warranty policy details, terms and conditions here
Proudly Made in the USA: Quality and Durability
Built for Resilience
The Hot Rod Daycare Version 1 3-Relay Board is constructed from ASA polymer, a premium material selected for it’s resilience against internal cabin factors like UV light and temperature swings. ASA provides excellent impact strength and heat deflection, ensuring the housing maintains structural integrity over time.
Internal Integrity
While the Version 1 is designed for protected environments, every board is engineered for long-term reliability. We seal the internal wiring in a base during assembly. This crucial step locks the wiring into a protective base, providing enhanced protection against vibration, internal condensation, and common cabin debris, ensuring the connections remain rock-solid for the life of your build.
Made in Winfield, Kansas
Every board is meticulously produced and hand wired in Winfield, KS USA, a commitment that allows for rigorous, hands-on quality control and exceptional attention to detail in every assembly.
Key Features and Professional Advantage
This board isn’t just a component – it’s an upgrade to your vehicle’s electrical integrity. The Hot Rod Daycare Version 1 3-Relay Board stands above the competition with these essential features:
Unmatched In-House Quality: Unlike mass produced alternatives, our boards are built on a custom-designed ASA polymer base, which is hand wired and sealed in-house in Winfield, KS USA. This proprietary process guarantees maximum durability, superior vibration resistance, and the meticulous quality control your vehicle demands.
Zero Downtime Trouble Shooting: Featuring Integrated Blown Fuse LED Indicators for every circuit. Say goodbye to guesswork and chasing power – a dedicated LED illuminates instantly when a fuse is blown, allowing for immediate identification and replacement, getting you back on the road fast.
Robust Power Handling: Engineered for high-performance use, the Version 1 board delivers a massive 100 Amp Total System Capacity, providing ample, reliable power to your most demanding components.
Essential Auxiliary Power: Includes a valuable bonus; a dedicated Constant Fused 12V Output (CH4). This provides a clean, protected source of power for low draw accessories like memory circuits, clocks, or status LEDs.

FAQ
- Question: Can I install the Version 1 3-Relay Board in my engine bay or under my vehicle?
Answer: The Version 1 board is specifically designed for installation in protected, dry environments only. (e.g. cabin, trunk, or sealed compartment). It does not include a full weatherproof cover. If you require an engine bay-rated solution, please look for our upcoming Version 2.
- Question: How does the relay activation work?
Answer: The board uses ground-triggered relay activation. This means your external switch or control unit should supply a ground signal (negative) to the board to turn the accessory on.
- Question: What is the maximum power capacity of the board?
Answer: The Hot Rod Daycare Version 1 3-Relay Board has a robust 100 Amp total system capacity. Each of the three main circuits is designed for use with the included 40A relays and fuses
- Question: What is the constant fused 12V output (CH4) used for?
Answer: This is an auxiliary output for low-draw accessories that require constant, protected power (e.g. memory circuits, clocks, status LEDs or small monitors). It eliminates the need to tap into a separate fuse panel for these items.
- Question: Why is the Version 1 board superior to other relay kits I see online?
Answer: The difference is in the quality. Out board is hand-wired and sealed in house in Winfield, KS USA, using a custom ASA polymer base. This process ensures superior vibration resistance and quality control compared to generic, mass-produced versions.
- Question: Does the board’s sealing protect it from water?
Answer: The internal seal protects the wiring against vibration and internal condensation/dust. However, the Version 1 board lacks an external cover and is not waterproof; it must be installed in a dry, protected location.
- Question: What parts of the board are covered by the 3-year limited warranty?
Answer: Our 3-year limited warranty covers the core components: the base, the sealing, and the internal wiring. Consumable components, such as the 40A relays and fuses, and not covered by the warranty.
- Question: How do the LED indicators simplify troubleshooting?
Answer: If an accessory stops working, you do not need a multimeter. The dedicated LED indicator light for that circuit will illuminate immediately if the fuse has blown, allowing for instant diagnosis.
- Question: Are there any mandatory safety or placement requirements for installation?
Answer: YES, this is a non-certified, high-current electrical component. To minimize liability risks associated with installation, the Hot Rod Daycare Version Relay Board must be mounted at a minimum distance of six (6) inches away from any vehicle component. This is a mandatory safety requirement for installation in the cabin or any protected space. Failure to comply with this minimum clearance requirement will immediately nullify and void any implied or stated warranty on the product due to improper installation.
- Question: Can I use the plastic box the Relay Board shipped in as a mounting enclosure?
Answer: No. The custom-designed plastic enclosure is made from PLA (polylactic Acid) and is strictly a shipping box for transit. It is not designed for the high heat or vibration of a vehicle environment. Mounting the board in the PLA box will cause the material to melt, warp, or crack, creating an extreme safety and fire risk. The board itself is constructed with durable ASA material and must be mounted directly to a protected surface.
